'Plenum' has a beautiful, distintive double blue-violet flower and slightly smaller in habit than many himalayense varieties. Its neat mound with large open flowers makes it especially effective for bringing a classic cottage-garden softness to mixed borders, where it can settle comfortably among grasses and roses.
